I think youth vote is just a huge part of the picture. The GenZ kids (my kids’ generation) voted in larger than usual numbers. They are pissed off. And they are not pollable by current methodology.
In my hometown of Pittsburgh, Pitt students voted in record numbers. It can't be an anomoly.
