Between “walking pneumonia,” a diagnosis I got three weeks ago, and the mad dash at the end of the semester, finding time and energy for extracurricular activities, including this here newsletter, has been a challenge. But it will resume soon, to include posts on the war on abortion access, the debt ceiling and other fun stuff.

I wonder if you might revisit your thoughts on immigration. It really feels like an unmitigated disaster and I wonder if you still want to defend it. As if homelessness is not already a humanitarian disaster, let's compound that problem with a few million more desperate people. It seems to me the citizenry of our country should, by some democratic process, have a say in transformational issues.
